The largest allowed bet while playing with a bonus. Exceeding it can void the bonus and any winnings.
The maximum bet is the largest single bet you are allowed to make while playing with bonus money or free spins. It is usually €5 per spin or hand, but the exact amount is stated in the bonus terms.
The restriction is there to stop a player from clearing the whole bonus with one large bet and trying to game the system. Exceeding the maximum bet is one of the most common reasons a bonus and the winnings earned with it are voided.
Always check the max-bet rule before activating a bonus and keep your bets within that limit until the wagering requirement is met. That way you don't risk losing already-earned winnings over a technical rule.
The limit generally applies to the total stake per spin or hand, not to a single line. Example: a maximum bet of 5 euros and a 50 euro bonus with a 35x wagering requirement, which means 1,750 euros of bets. At 5 euros per spin you need at least 350 spins, while at 0.50 euros per spin you need 3,500. A bigger bet shortens the session but increases swings (volatility); a smaller bet stretches the play and keeps your bankroll alive longer.
Before activating a bonus, take a screenshot of the terms or save the text, because terms can change later; the entry on terms and conditions and the article how to read an online casino's terms of use explain what to look for in them. If you notice you are raising stakes to clear the requirement faster or to win a loss back, stop; support is available at 15410.ee. How to work out the number of spins needed is shown in the article on calculating the wagering requirement.
