The movement of money between accounts. An ordinary bank transfer is slower than Trustly (usually 1–3 business days).
A transfer is the movement of money from one account to another. In a casino context it usually means a bank transfer, with which you move money from your bank account to the casino account or vice versa.
An ordinary SEPA bank transfer is reliable but slower than Trustly: money can take 1–3 business days. A Trustly-based payment also works as a bank transfer, but in real time — money arrives within seconds because confirmation happens directly in your online bank.
A withdrawal by transfer is most often routed to the same account the deposit came from. This is both a security measure and an anti-money-laundering requirement at licensed casinos.
Transfer time has two parts: the casino's own processing and the bank transfer. A standard euro transfer, a SEPA transfer, generally moves by banking days rather than calendar days, so money does not move on weekends and holidays; the bank's cut-off time also matters. Example: you request a withdrawal on a Friday evening. The casino may only review it on Monday and the bank books the money on the next working day, so you probably receive it on Tuesday. Many banks also offer instant payments (SEPA Instant), but that depends on both your bank and the casino's bank. The general rules are described by ECB: SEPA.
The difference between a bank transfer and the faster bank payment is that the first has a delay built in, while with the second your own bank confirms the payment immediately. If the times for deposits and withdrawals are not what you expect, read the article Trustly withdrawal times. For the effect of weekends, see weekend vs working day.
