Short definition

Transferring winnings from a casino to your bank account or wallet. The first withdrawal requires completed identity verification; money usually goes back via the same channel you deposited with.

A withdrawal is taking winnings or your balance out of a casino to your bank account, card or e-wallet. The process has two parts: the casino approves the request (processing time), and the payment method delivers the money — often the same day to Estonian banks.

Two rules prevent most delays: complete KYC identity verification before your first withdrawal if possible, and bear in mind that money is generally returned via the same payment method you deposited with — an anti-money-laundering requirement.

The stages of a withdrawal

  1. You submit a request: choose the amount and payment method.
  2. The casino reviews it: checks KYC data, completion of the bonus and that the payment method matches.
  3. The payment method delivers the money: a wallet usually quickly, a bank often on the same or the next working day.

Every stage has its own time, so "withdrawal time" is not a single number. In more detail: casino withdrawal time. At some casinos the request waits before review, and during that time you can cancel it. That is the classic trap: a cancelled request puts the money back into play and it is often lost. The mechanism is explained in withdrawal reversal.

Limits: an example

A casino can have a maximum withdrawal per day, week or month. Example: if the limit is €5,000 a month and you have a €12,000 win, the sum is split over three months (€5,000 + €5,000 + €2,000), because 12,000 ÷ 5,000 = 2.4, so three payments. The concrete limit is in the casino's terms and often applies to big wins as well, so look at it before playing. What to do if a withdrawal is delayed

First check that the wagering requirement is met and KYC is finished. Second, save dates, amounts, screenshots and support replies. Such documentation is needed for a complaint too; see how to document a withdrawal problem. The requirement to send money back through the same payment method comes from anti-money-laundering rules, which are based on EUR-Lex: Directive 2015/849.

Related terms

See also: withdrawal time, withdrawal limit, KYC.

Example: you request a €300 withdrawal at 10 o’clock. The casino approves it by 12, and via a bank link the money is in the account in the afternoon. An unconfirmed KYC would have added a day or two.

How does a withdrawal work?

1. Submit the request

Choose the withdrawal, amount and payment method in the cashier.

2. The casino reviews it

The request is checked — quickly with a verified account, often within minutes.

3. The money moves

A bank link and e-wallets are fastest; arriving on a card takes longer.

4. Avoiding delays

Do your KYC early, use the same payment method you deposited with, and meet the bonus terms before requesting.

Why is my withdrawal delayed?

The most common reasons: KYC is incomplete, the bonus wagering is unmet, or the request is awaiting manual review. With a verified account and the terms met, Estonian casinos' withdrawals are fast.

Can a casino refuse a withdrawal?

Only with cause — for example unmet bonus terms or unverified identity. A licensed casino can’t withhold winnings arbitrarily; in a dispute you can turn to the regulator.
