A bonus that is never paid out itself — only the winnings earned with it can be withdrawn.
A sticky bonus, or non-withdrawable bonus, is bonus money that cannot be cashed out itself — it is meant only for playing. Only the winnings you earn with the bonus money are eligible for withdrawal.
When you meet the wagering requirement and make a withdrawal, the casino removes the bonus part and pays out only your own money and the winnings earned. This differs from a non-sticky bonus, where you play with your own money first and the bonus stays untouched.
A sticky bonus can offer a larger playing budget, but its real value depends on the wagering requirement and the maximum cash-out. Read the terms carefully to understand how much you can actually withdraw.
You make a 100 euro deposit and receive a 100 euro sticky bonus, so the balance is 200 euros. If you complete the wagering requirement and the balance is then 250 euros, the withdrawable amount is 250 − 100 = 150 euros, because the bonus part is removed. If the balance falls to zero, nothing is left, but you also do not owe anything for the bonus itself.
With the same deposit and a non-sticky bonus, you play with your own 100 euros first and the bonus stays untouched until your own money is gone. If you win with your own money and want to withdraw before the bonus is used, you can usually do so, but the bonus is cancelled; the exact procedure is in the terms. That is the main practical difference: with a sticky bonus your own deposit is tied to the bonus terms.
Backing out after you have taken the bonus may not be possible, so decide before you deposit and read the terms of the bonus. For bonuses tied to Trustly deposits, see Trustly bonuses. If completing the requirement starts to pressure you into betting more, stop; support is available at 15410.ee. Work out the value of your own bonus with the bonus calculator.
