Short definition

Transferring money to a casino account by bank link, card or e-wallet. In Estonia the deposit usually arrives in seconds; the minimum is most often €10.

A deposit is moving money into your casino account so you can play with real money. At Estonian casinos the most common methods are a bank link, Trustly, a bank card and e-wallets; the money generally reaches your account within seconds and deposits are usually free.

The minimum deposit is most often €10, and less at some casinos. Before paying it's worth deciding about the bonus: many welcome bonuses activate on that first deposit and the choice can't be changed later — and not every payment method will activate a bonus.

What happens when you make a deposit

With a bank payment you pick the bank and confirm with the bank's own authentication method; with a card you usually confirm with an extra code (3-D Secure); with an e-wallet you log in to the wallet; with crypto you send the amount to the address the casino gives you. European payment-service rules generally require strong authentication for electronic payments, built on at least two independent factors; read about it at Wikipedia: Strong customer authentication. So if a casino asks you to confirm the payment in your bank or app, that is a normal step, not an obstacle.

What to check before confirming

  • the amount and currency: if the casino account currency differs from yours, an exchange rate and possibly a fee apply;
  • that the payer's name is your own: a deposit from someone else's card or account can later block a withdrawal;
  • that you have decided on the bonus before paying and that the deposit exceeds the offer's minimum;
  • that your budget and deposit limit are in place.

A budget example: if you have €120 a month for entertainment, that is €30 a week. A deposit limit is set to such an amount, and every extra deposit should be a conscious decision, not a reaction to a loss.

If the deposit does not arrive

Do not make a new payment before checking your bank statement: the money may have left your account while the casino has not yet received confirmation. Contact casino support with the date, amount and reference number. Do not start a chargeback before talking to the casino, since it can lead to the account being closed. How to make a deposit?

4. The money arrives

Your balance usually updates within seconds and you can start playing.

Why didn’t my deposit activate the bonus?

Common reasons: the bonus wasn’t selected before payment, the amount was below the bonus minimum, or you used a payment method excluded from the bonus (often e-wallets). Check the terms before paying.

Can deposits be limited?

Yes — set a deposit limit within which the system allows payments. At Estonian-licensed casinos it's always available and worth setting right at the start.
