The period during which a withdrawal request sits pending in the casino's system and has not yet been approved; it can often be cancelled during this time.
Pending time, or waiting time, is the period during which your withdrawal request sits in your casino account with the status “pending”. The money has already been deducted from your playing balance, but the casino has not yet passed it on to the payment provider. In many casinos the player can still cancel the request during this time.
Pending time is part of the casino's internal process. During this time the casino may:
In some casinos pending time is almost non-existent because the checks are automated. In others a request may be pending from a few hours to several business days. Pending time is one part of the total withdrawal time and often overlaps with the casino processing time.
The length of pending time is also affected by whether the casino processes requests in batches. Some operators review pending withdrawals at set times, for example once or twice a day. In that case the waiting time depends on when you submitted the request: a request submitted just before the processing window moves on quickly, while one submitted shortly after it waits for the next round. On weekends and public holidays such windows may become less frequent or disappear.
A pending request often has a button that lets you cancel the withdrawal and bring the money back to your playing account. This is called a withdrawal reversal. A long pending time increases the temptation to bring the money back and keep playing. From the player's point of view this is unfavourable: reversed money is available for betting again and the win may disappear. Some casinos therefore offer an option to lock the withdrawal immediately, so that a pending request can no longer be taken back. That is why a short or absent pending time is considered a player-friendly feature.
If you feel you tend to cancel pending withdrawals, consider setting limits or self-exclusion. Help and advice are also available via 15410.ee and on the responsible gambling page.
In Pay N Play casinos pending time is often short, because your identity is verified via bank link already during the deposit. Read more in the guide Pay N Play withdrawal.
First check whether the casino has sent a document request or a message. Then contact customer support and ask what stage the request is at. If the problem drags on, document the communication as described in the post how to document a withdrawal problem before complaining. For a casino licensed in Estonia you can turn to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board.
No. It is a normal stage. A problem is more likely signalled when the pending status exceeds the time stated in the casino's own terms and customer support cannot give an explanation.
